Story -
A young woman returns to her native mountain village, searching for answers about her troubled childhood, but as she tries to uncover the truth, ancient superstitions lead the villagers to accuse her of witchcraft and murder.

Director's Statement -
Nightsiren seeks to dispel the myths and conventions surrounding womanhood and addresses the resurgence of ancient beliefs in the modern day with misogyny, xenophobia and mass hysteria still prevailing. Even though women are no longer being burned at the stake, they’re still targeted for their sexuality, emotionality, and reproductive choices. Only the label has changed, from "witch" to "slut". Nightsiren talks about the value of freedom if we refuse to go down the conventional path.
