The Victor Hugo in Guernsey Society exists to celebrate and to promote the deep link between the island of Guernsey and Victor Hugo. To that end they organise talks and conferences, provide advice, and produce educational resources and other publications in English and in French. Every year in June we organise a Victor Hugo weekend, with lectures by eminent academics and performances of plays and music and other entertainments on the chosen theme of that year.

In collaboration with The Victor Hugo in Guernsey Society we will present a specially curated program.

Liberate is a Guernsey registered charity established in 2014 to include, inform and support

Guernsey Filmworks is the organiser of the Guernsey Film Fest.

In 2020 Rêvasser Films (producers Lars Janssen & Charlotte Dawn Potter) launched the local production division Guernsey Filmworks. Our mission is to produce feature films set in Guernsey, the Channel Islands to be seen by a worldwide audience.

By producing and filming films in the Channel Islands we can directly stimulate the local economy and create exposure for Guernsey.

Through the process of film production and filming we are able to engage locals to be part of the movie magic. We encourage locals to audition or apply to be a crew member. Students can apply to become an intern on the productions, giving them the opportunity to learn filmmaking first-hand and develop their skills. Therefore we hope to inspire the younger generation of Guernsey to pursue filmmaking.
